Rainbow Fish did not only open the doors to the international book
market, but also guided me to the world of music. In 1994 I had the
opportunity to write the texts for a German musical-radio-play. After
the huge success of this musical-play we produced others with
sequels to “Rainbow Fish”, “Hopper”, “Milo” and “The Christmas
Star”. I have written texts for more than 30 songs and seeing these
texts turn into songs has given me an immense pleasure.
In 2004 Cocomico Records GmbH produced a wonderful “Rain-
bow Fish” musical for the German stage. Various musical- and
theatrical-groups are now touring with different “Rainbow Fish”
musicals across Europe, Asia and the United States.
